Inspired by a disturbing real case involving a crew member from writer-director Elias Suhail’s debut short film, Beneath a Mother’s Feet, 19 Hertz imagines a fictionalised retelling set during the production of that film. When a sound recordist murders his former lover after threats to expose their secret relationship, he returns to set as if nothing has happened, concealing a horrifying secret from the unsuspecting crew around him.
